CANCELLED: HELP ME RAISE MONEY FOR the SPECIAL OLYMPICS!!

UPDATE:
To all of you that may have donated, or were thinking of donating: please note that I will NOT be participating the world record relay attempt at Lake Cane this weekend. As some of you know, I have been struggling with some health issues, and I just have not been able to get my rest and get my blood pressure up enough to get me through my pre-fainting episodes. Instead of swimming I will be home resting tomorrow. If you donated in my name, thank you, and anyone who has passed donations along to me, I have notified the organizers that I'll be sending the donations along.

Thanks for your support.

If you chose to sponsor me, you can also make checks out to "YMCA Aquatic Center Scholarship Fund" and mail to Lucky Meisenheimer, 6645 Lake Cane Dr, Orlando, FL 32819 - make sure you put somewhere that you're sponsoring Meggan Ann Johnson! You can still PayPal to my PayPal account under megganann@gmail.com.

As many of you know, I love to break a sweat for a good cause. I started in the '90s, building homes with Habitat for Humanity. Over the last 15 years, I have participated in dozens of runs, walks and triathlons benefitting The Alzheimer's Association, The American Cancer Society, The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, The American Diabetes Association, The Polycistic Kidney Disease Foundation, The Second Harvest Food Bank, and The Track Shack Foundation.

On October 13, 2007, I am participating in a world record relay swim attempt at Dr. Lucky Meisenheimer's estate by swimming a Half-Ironman distance swim (around 2k) to raise money for the YMCA Aquatic Center Learn to Swim Scholarship program. This scholarship program subsidizes pool time for the Orange County Special Olympics Swim Team. (Click the link to find out more about the event, or call the YMCA Acquatic Center Orlando for more info about the program).

Dr. Meisenheimer is a local legend with a deep level of commitment to his community. He has been hosting freeswims for strangers from his beautiful home for years - no charge, no questions asked! - he serves on the board of the Orlando YMCA Acquatic Center, and helps to promote fitness for kids and adults around Orlando.

Please help me raise money for the Learn to Swim Scholarship program! Any donation will do! Thanks for your help!

P.S. - There will be 50 swimmers. Each of us will swim a Half Iron distance swim of 2k or 1.2miles.
