WEEK 9, DAY 4: Sick AGAIN

I drove to not one but TWO different YMCAs yesterday trying to swim. The first one was the big Aquatic Center and they had a hugundous swim meet going on, so I thought I'd go to the other. By the time I was making my turn towards the second one, I realized that my reaction time was so slow and my speech so slurred that the front desk people would think I was drunk. Even scarier, I could get stopped by the cops. And even scarier, I could get into a serious accident. So I went home and slept.

And slept.

And slept.

And guess who slept through workout time at 5:40, through possible swim time at 6am, right up till "last chance to get up for work time" at 7am - AGAIN this? Guess who is also so incoherent she's afraid to make sales calls because she's afraid her clients will think she's drunk?

Yep, that'd be me.

Every time I'd hit snooze, I'd think, "I should just get up and go work out." Then I reminded myself that how I feel lying down and standing up are two separate things.

I feel so lazy.

1 tidbits of wizdom:

You're not lazy, you're SICK! You're body is telling you in no uncertain terms to slow the heck down.

You need some recovery right now. Seriously -- working out when you should be in bed only hurts you.

Feel better soon!
