I had a blast racing the Athena class. The group is so friendly and supportive, even the 6 foot goddesses who always won. Although I did win a sprint series once because non of the first place finisher completed all the races leaving room for the rest of us. :) Without going into details, the age group scene is not as open.

Best of luck. I will say that the moment I realized I no longer qualified for the Athena class was a very happy day. It took a couple of weeks for the scale to settle below 150 but it's a great feeling. My next step is to lose enough weight to have a BMI that qualifies as normal. Gotta have goals.

Good luck in your quest and let me know if I can help.Dr. Iron TriFeist :)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03965092445423137908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5247890905999636681.post-25285755940243064412007-10-10T12:25:00.000-04:002007-10-10T12:25:00.000-04:00I'm definitely one for a challenge and am cheering...I'm definitely one for a challenge and am cheering you on (wahoo!) from the sidelines for getting faster and fitter!Joy | Love | Chaoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05976555367096513196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5247890905999636681.post-22786707372633552302007-10-10T09:59:00.000-04:002007-10-10T09:59:00.000-04:00That's a very healthy outlook! We should all be able to do that regardless of category but it seems like when we have less competition, we focus on the gold.CCPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12658737500678370331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5247890905999636681.post-25076732414080515872007-10-10T09:18:00.000-04:002007-10-10T09:18:00.000-04:00I'd LOVE to finish in the middle of the pack in a ...I'd LOVE to finish in the middle of the pack in a tri....at this point that only happens in running races....in tri's I'm still relegated the the back of the pack for a bit until my swimming and cycling improve some more :)FunFitandHappyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00983990124917386971noreply@blogger.com
