I'm the oldest of nine kids and the youngest five were adopted - you'd think I'd want a bajillion but just the opposite. Is it at the neighboring table? Is it on your plate? Is it in the bottom of a glass of wine? It's always too big to fit anywhere obvious and too cumbersome to ignore.<BR/><BR/>The only power strangers have over you is that which you allow them to have. This is true, of course, of self-loathing as well.<BR/><BR/>Put your anger down for a while. Try to just be, in the moment. Let go, even if it's just for a little while.
